Role: UI/UX Designer

What doesn’t kill me, gives me EXP

Everyone in a gaming firm like Pennypop has to be responsible for numerous duties at once, in addition to being the sole designer in the beginning. Numerous missions inspired me to study and develop, from processes and wireframes to animations and UI design. We were able to multitask and adhere to every release date thanks to our talented and cohesive group of artists.

The beginning is the most important part of the work

Even though the tutorial phase will be skipped by roughly 99% of users, it is still important to provide a diligent and interesting step-by-step training that players could ideally walk through. I revamped and streamlined this experience into a few straightforward stages that include five key components in an effort to elevate it.

Additionally, keep reminding gamers that there will be prizes after they finish the entire process. Results indicate that the complexity and cost of the final product have a significant impact on how useful tutorials are. In the long run, a good design did considerably raise player involvement.

More active players, the better!

Keeping players engaged when there are so many games competing for their attention on mobile devices is one of the main issues. When player retention and engagement are your top priorities, you need features that capture the essence of stickiness and encourage users to return of their own choice.

Higher DAU is generated by a simple and quick daily reward system.

Starter Pack incentives encourage new players to make low-cost in-app purchases at first.

For those "Power Users" to easily track the newest bargains, center the Store symbol.

Together we rise. Alone we fall.

It frequently takes the cooperation of several teams to produce a significant feature, such as new boss or monster animation. Five artists and designers who made up the art team took the lead on this project. To complete this challenge under a lot of strain, hive-minded not only created the creative assets but also regularly updated the dev team.

Players get chicks. I get achievements.

Making items for the interface you design, such as icons and badges, is another crucial skill for UI designers. A rookie designer like me was able to produce dozens of badges and icons that successfully fit the overall style with the help of excellent artists.

Players are motivated to complete each objective via achievement badges.

The final UI design includes icons and badges.

Simple iconography is used in quest logs to indicate various destinations.

Design is not just what it looks like and feels like. Design is how it works.

To address the issue with our various fights, dungeons, boss raids, and events' entrance tickets. In order to create a more user-friendly interface, we developed a design solution that makes use of a common language, a universal slider that can be used to meet a variety of demands depending on the situation, and aesthetic consistency and systematic modularity.
