Mobile Game
Case Study – Mandora

A sweet casual game created by a Taiwan-based, rising-star mobile game startup. Numerous appealing features, especially those with simple controls and UI design, inspired me.

Role: UI/UX Designer

Practice Makes Perfect

One of the nicest aspects is that players can play in various themes and gather various characters depending on when they open the app. It's simple to study. Learning necessitates effort. I therefore made the decision to dissect everything from top to bottom, beginning with study into the core information architecture.

Better to ‘Do’ than ‘Read’

Each game instructs you on how to play. However, if you give players the choice to bypass the tutorial, they almost always do so. However, a visually appealing beginning that seamlessly incorporates the instruction into the game avoided alienating the audience of seasoned gamers while also appealing to casual gamers. You will need to educate less if your pictures are greater.

It's a good idea to analyze the instructional procedure in order to learn how to create an engaging tutorial for a AAA title. Additionally, a thorough step-by-step wireframe analysis aids in your understanding of the mechanism.

Improve is the end result of all true learning.

Every game presents different difficulties, so it's possible that not all games can be solved in the same way Mandora did. I really believe that there is always room for improvement, therefore to wrap up my case study, I've mocked up a few little ideas that might help to improve the overall experience.
